White House Of The Confederacy
First White House of the Confederacy in Montgomery, Alabama, USA, circa 1930. The property was the home of Confederate States President Jefferson Davis (1809-1889) and his family after he was inaugurated in 1861. The house served as the first White House of the Confederacy from February 1861 until late May 1861, when the Confederate capital moved to Richmond, Virginia.
