Kasbah Mosque in Marrakech
The Kasbah Mosque is located south of the Medina of Marrakech. It is one of the most distinctive buildings in Marrakech, and has a minaret which is certainly among the most beautiful in the city. The decoration of the minaret, which stands out from the houses and buildings in the neighborhood, is decorated with beautiful blue ceramic. income non-Muslims are not allowed.
Built in the late twelfth century by Yacoub El Mansour, it is the only mosque surviving from the original Kasba built by the Almohad, after the conquest of the city from the Almoravids in 1047.
The Mosque of the Kasbah of Marrakech was completely destroyed in 1569, which led to rebuild, and thereafter is known as the Mosque of the Golden Apples. This designation is because it is said that the golden ball which ends minaret it was performed with gold jewelry wife Jacub El Mansur
