The iconic twin towers of downtown Manhattan's World Trade Center were completed in 1973. They stood at 110 stories each, accommodating 50, 000 workers and 200, 000 daily visitors in 10 million square feet of space. They were the hub of the bustling Financial District, a top tourist attraction and a symbol of New York City's?and America's?steadfast devotion to progress and the future

Aerial of flooding river discharging eroded soil, silt and other sediments into the Java Sea Featured Abstract Aerial Art Prints Print

Aerial of flooding river discharging eroded soil, silt and other sediments into the Java Sea

An aerial view of a flooding river discharging eroded soil, silt and other sediments into the Java Sea, north coast of Java Island, Indonesia. There are more than four main river channels sending dark brown plumes of suspended sediments into the Java Sea. Mixing of the waters creates an oil-painting effect as the brown sediment-laden terrestrial waters mix with the aqua blue waters of the Java Sea. The river course has been modified by man-made activities in this intensively farmed area of both rice paddies and prawn farms. Additional farmland is created in this densely populated area around Indramayu as the delta progrades into the Java Sea. Adjacent coastal plains are partly submerged by river water channelled by intense agricultural activity
