Overview of the Valley of the Moon in Chile 2
Valley of the Moon, Chile - 26 May 2018 The spectacular El Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) is located in the Atacama Desert of Chile, the driest place on Earth. Many places here have seen no rain for centuries. Fittingly, Moon Valley is characterised by a range of unearthly, surreal landscapes, sand dunes, eerie rock formations, dried out lakes and eroded geological features. Many places also offer spectacular vistas of the nearby Licancabur Volcano. This arid moonscape can be breathtakingly beautiful, especially at sunset when the rocks glow and the moon rises over the valley. Here we see an overview of the area at sunset, seen from a nearby vantage point
