Allen & Ginter Fruits Series Collection

Illustrated and Collectable Card Art

Allen and Ginter was a tobacco manufacturing company founded in 1865 by John Allen and Lewis Ginter in Richmond, Virginia. The company created the first cigarette cards for collecting and trading in the United States and the original cards from the 19th century are among the most collected and valued cards of the era. These images are from a set of 50 cards named the Fruits series (N12), issued in 1891.
