" Utagawa Toyokuni (1769, Edo - February 24, 1825, Edo, also often referred to as Toyokuni I.This dramatic print shows and actor in the 1852 series of half actor prints called Kiso 69 eki and was published by Kagayasu. The actor holds a samuri sword that has been taken from its sheath, in the the background landscape there are fir trees and a large waterfall.This print forms part of my own personal collection."
