Coat of arms Brodrick, Viscount Midleton 18th century
Engraving of the coat of arms of Brodrick, Viscount Midleton, item 79 in an 18th-century publication. The name is also spelt Broderick. Text on this engraving, including motto, reads: 79. Brodrick, Viscount Midleton. A CUSPIDE CORONA (From the spear a crown). Alan Brodrick, 1st Viscount Midleton (1656 a 1728) was an Irish lawyer and politician. The title Viscount Midleton, of Midleton in the County of Cork, is in the Peerage of Ireland, created in 1717. The arms shown belong, more probably, to Alans son George.
