Text on this engraving, including motto, reads: 116 Cuffe Lord Desart VIRTUS REPULSAE NESCIA SORDIDAE (True worth that never know ignoble defeat) Castlecuffe Otway. Cuffe succeeded his elder brother as third Baron Desart in 1767 and was created Viscount Desart, in the County of Kilkenny, in the Peerage of Ireland in 1781.
