Palmolive Building
A time lapse image of the art deco Palmolive Building on Michigan Avenue, Chicago, circa 1935. It was built between 1927 and 1929 for the soap manufacturing firm, then from 1965 to 1989, it served as the headquarters for Playboy magazine. A navigational beacon can be seen on the top of the building. The structure on the left is the Old Water Tower, built in 1869. (Photo by FPG/Hulton Archive/Getty Images)
