Anti Strike Demo
Representatives of regional groups from the Womens Guild of Empire marching along the Embankment, London to demonstrate against the imminent general strike in the UK, 17th April 1926. The Womens Guild of Empire was a right wing organization opposed to communism. Amongst the demonstrators banners are two that read: The Strike Is A Two-Edged Sword and Lancashires Clemmin (starving) For Peace. The march will continue to the Royal Albert hall, where a mass meeting will be addressed by the guilds co-founder, British suffragette, Flora Drummond.
