Papyrus Depicting Tutankhamun and His Wife Ankhesenamun
This beautiful garden scene shows Tutankhamun receiving flowers from his wife Ankhesenamun. This scene comes from an ivory chest that was found in his tomb in 1922, when it was discovered by Howard Carter, artist unknown (circa 1300BC). Tut took the throne at a mere eight years old and would have held close to his wife for love and support. Their touching scenes show us how close they were, most likely because they grew up in the palace together
