Abergele Train Disaster
The scene on the track, one and a half hours after the Abergele Train Disaster on the Chester and Holyhead Railway in North Wales, 20th August 1868. The London and North Western Railways Irish Mail train from Euston had collided with a cargo train carrying paraffin, resulting in a blaze which killed 33 people.
