Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (Georgian: Living Pillar Cathedral) is a Georgian Orthodox cathedral located in the historical town of Mtskheta, Georgia, 20 km northwest of nations capital of Tbilisi.In 1994 the church was added to the Unesco World heritage list, along with other historical monuments of Mtskheta.
As the birthplace of Christianity in Georgia, Mtskheta was declared as the Holy City by the Georgian Orthodox Church in 2014
