Mount Tabor Reservoir
A color long exposure HDR photograph in square format of Mount Tabor Water Reservoir at night showing Reservoir Number Six in Portland, Oregon. The reservoir system on Mount Tabor was constructed between 1894 and 1911 based on castle like structures designed by architects William M Whidden and Ernest L Ransome. Federal regulations banning uncovered reservoirs intended for drinking water angered Portlandians who did not want these historic sites destroyed. The decades long controversy that ensued ended with the city water bureau agreeing to maintain the site as a public park and not a source of potable water. This photo was taken the night of February 3 2021
