(Original Caption). An arthritis victim makes her way up the steps of an old store building in Lone Rock, to seek aid from a uranium tunnel which owner Kenneth Crook has lined with plastic sacks containing 2, 500 pounds of low grade Uranium Ore from Nevada. Visitors to the tunnel, in a room of the store, pay $10 for 10 one hour visits. They sit in the 16 foot long enclosure and expose themselves to the Uranium rays, which Crook said gave him relief from undulant fever. The State Medical Society urged the Attorney General's office to start action to enjoin Crook from operating the tunnel. The Society claimed he was practicing medicine without a license. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
