(Original Caption) This grimly prophetic photo of the Titanic's bridge and one of its lifeboats was made by Reverend F.M. Browne, a passenger who got off the doomed ship after the short run from Southampton to Queenstown, England. More than 2, 200 persons (passengers and crew) were aboard for the maiden voyage of the magnificent vessel, but only 711 survived the disaster. Later investigations revealed that the Titanic had enough lifeboats for about 1, 200 persons. Photo filed 3/31/1962. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
