Aden: Dodging bullets?it's one of the hair-raising hazards of being a correspondent in the hot-spots of war-torn Vietnam, rebellion-hit Nigeria and the much-troubled British colony of Aden in the Middle East. But United Press International's John Lawton, like so many other correspondents, thinks no more of being in the heart of the battle than putting pen to paper. At the moment he is in Aden, making daily tours of the violent areas of Sheikh Othman and Crater with men of the 42nd Commando, Royal Marines. Although tension has eased just a bit, British troop - and Lawton - still tread the streets of Aden with much care, looking out for rooftop snipers still lingering around, at least until Britain completely withdraws all her soldiers from the colony which has seen so much violence and terror for so long. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
