(Original Caption). Golden Grist-of the Reno Divorce Mill! Reno, Nevada. As the wheels of the Reno Divorce Mill grind out a continuos stream of divorce decrees, these boys and their colleagues reap a golden harvest of wedding rings-cast into the river by divorcees in accordance with local with local tradition. As soon as the unhappy wives have received their divorce decrees it is quite the thing to do to proceed at once to the Truckee River Bridge (also known as the Virginia Street Bridge) and fling the golden wedding bands into the water. The local lands, who also have inaugurated a quaint little custom of their own, proceed to reclaim the rings from the river with considerable profit to themselves. Richard Jameson (left) and Robert Durborg are holding some of the fruits of their toil. Many of the rings are studded with diamonds or other precious stones and all are of precious me. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
