Framed Print of Exhibitionist Adjusting Bones of Prehistoric Animal
(Original Caption). Peering into the jaws of a prehistoric killer is Cam Gifford, preparator of exhibits at the Chicago Natural History Museum. The skeleton is that of a Gorgosaurus, a dinosaur which roamed the earth some 75 million years ago and preyed on the more placid, vegetarian dinosaurs of the time. The fossilized skeleton, one of only few known to remain in existence, has been acquired by the Museum from the American Museum of Natural History in New York, which had two. The bones of the Gorgosaurus, which probably weighed six tons in life, were collected in 1914 near a river in Alberta, Canada.
