It was announced today that British inventor Harry Ferguson settled his $341, 600, 000 patent infringement and anti-trust suit against the Ford Motor company for $9, 250, 000. Ferguson began his legal battle more them four years ago. In ihis complaint, Ferguson 65, who was widley known as the late Henry Ford's Only partner charged that Henry Ford had deliberatley copied the Ferguson sutem and farm implement line, unlawfully seized Mr. Ferguson's inventions and conspried to take over the Ferguson company. The settlement involved only three of the patent infringe claims. The anti-trust action was dismissed under the consent judgement signed by Judge Gregory F. Noonan. This was said to have been the largest damage claim ever brought to court in this coutry. In this photo, Ferguson is shown on the first tractor to come off the line in his new tractor. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
