(Original Caption). Hoover Gives Views on Possible U.N. Charter Revision. Washington, D.C.: Former President Herbert Hoover, shown with his secretary, Miss Bernice Miller, told Congress yesterday that the free world must go on and worry with Russia in the U.N. rather than attempt to expel the Soviets from the global organization. The 80-year-old former chief executive testified at a hearing on charter revisions. At one point in his testimony, Mr. Hoover said he had once suggested Russia be asked to retire so that 14 countries now blocked from membership by the Soviet veto might come in and give the free world a more united front'. Then he added: I don't think that in present conditions that would work. My conclusion is that we've got to go on and worry with Russia and hope that things will get better. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
