London, England: Actress Ingrid Bergman, wife of Italian director Roberto Rossellini, in costumes created for her in the title role of the 20th Century fox film, Anastasia, now being filmed in London. The costumes were designed by M. Hubert. At left, the evening dress worn by Miss Bergman as Anastasia in a scene at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen is a Balenciaga model in princess style, of white satin armure (slipper satin) embroidered with bands of white and pink beads going completely around the skirt in a watteau motif. Center, for the scene in which Miss Bergman meets members of Paris White Russian colony for the first time, she wears this black afternoon dress in simple lines of the 1928 period. The dress has the new look of 1957 fashions. The material is silk and wool with linen thread. There is no belt and almost. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
