(Original Caption). Stepping out with two of his fans, TV Star Jack LaLanne makes a big personal hit at Union Elementary School in San Jose. Under LaLanne's direction, the school became the first in the nation to put President Kennedy's Youth Physical Fitness Program in actual working order. LaLanne, known all over the United States for his television physical culture show, worked with some 6, 000 elementary school children during a five-day period to launch the new program.
