Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev (2nd from right) accompanied by his wife Nina (R), seems to be amused at Benny Goodman's jazz concert at the Red Army Sports Palace, May 30, after they dropped into the concert unexpectedly. It was the first time in history an American jazz band had played to a Soviet audience under official auspices. I don't understand jazz, but I enjoyed the concert, Khrushchev said after hearing a program that included a medley of George Gershwin songs and a number especially written for the occasion called Greetings Moscow. Khrushchev's party included First Deputy Premier Anastas Mikoyan (2nd left), First Deputy Premier Frol Kozlov (C), Presidium member Aleksei Kosygin (L), and Khrushchev's son-in-law, Alexei Adzhubei (not shown), editor of the newspaper Izvestia. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
