Framed Print of Leo Durocher and Umpire in Conflict
(Original Caption). With such an important series being played at Ebbets Field between the Dodgers and the league-leading Giants, and conflict between Giant pilot Leo Durocher and the umpires was inevitable. In the picture at the left umpire Art Gore is on the pitching end of the index finger, meaning the argument on Giant outfielder Dusty Rhodes called third strike had ended, and so has Durocher's stay in the ball game. In the picture Durocher's opinion of his quick banishment is voiced to Gore, who seems to have an argument of his own. Delighted fans in the background, Dodger fans no doubt, look on as the ear-chewing reaches a crescendo. Brooklyn Dodger Rooters gave out with a crescendo of their own at game's end, which saw the beloved bums drop the New Yorkers for the second straight time, 6-5, on August 14th. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
