Captioned The Strange Story of this Photograph, the explanation was given on an inner page: It is truly impossible to take a picture of Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman with their son born Friday night at the Rome clinic of Villa Margherita. Rossellini declared he was willing to go to any lengths in order to prevent a picture being taken, we, naturally, that we were ready on our part to go to any length to show to the public the picture of a baby born from man idyll which took place under the public's eyes. We have composed therefore a photomontage which pictures of the actual protagonists in a room identical in all details to the one in which Bergman is. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
