Mildred Babe Didrickson, one of the most outstanding girl athletes in the country is shown here admiring her new hat in her hotel room after her arrival in Chicago to attend the National A.A.U. Championships for women, which will also serve as Olympic tryouts. Miss Didrickson of Dallas, holds worlds records for women in the 80-meter hurdles and baseball throw, and only last week captured the Texas A.A.U. Championships singlehandedly. Out of ten events she placed first in eight, tied for first in another, and came in second in one. Incidentlty, the hat is the first she ever wore in the eighteen years of her life. Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
