Framed Print of Owen Garriott Mixing His Food
(Original Caption). Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas. Scientist astronaut Owen K. Garriott, Skylab III science pilot, reconstitutes a prepackaged container of food at the crew quarters ward room table of the Orbital Workshop (OWS) of the Skylab space station cluster. This picture was taken with a handheld 35mm Nikon camera. Astronauts Garriott, Alan L. Bean and Jack R. Lousma remained with the Skylab space station in Earth orbit for a total of 59 days conducting numerous medical, scientific and technological experiments. Note the knife and fork on the food tray and the utensil with which Garriott stirs the food mixed with water. Skylab is the first manned space program by NASA which affords the crewmen an opportunity to eat with the same type utensils used on Earth. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
