(Original Caption). Senators and Senate pages alike grew increasingly weary in the seemingly endless Senate debate on the administration's Atomic Energy Bill. These pages are shown as they bedded down on army cots on a balcony. The boys are divided into two groups working six hours and sleeping six. Today Senate majority leader William Knowland conferred with President Eisenhower and then prepared to call up his cloture motion to gag the filibuster that began last Wednesday. He needs 65 votes to succeed and Republicans agreed with Democrats that he probably will not get them. Senator Knowland told newsmen after his meeting with President Eisenhower that the Senate will be kept in session several extra weeks if necessary to break the filibuster.
