Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: Dr. Joaquin Balaguer after it was officially announced he was elected president of the Dominican Republic, June 1, when 754, 409 votes were cast in his favor. Despite his sweeping victory over Juan Bosch (who received 517, 784 votes), the latter said his party would challenge the results at every point where there is proof of fraud. The team of 42 observers that oversaw the voting for the Organization of American States, issued a statement saying that to the best of their knowledge the election has been conducted fairly and in good order. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
