(Original Caption). New York: Former U.S. Vice President Richard M. Nixon, who for eight years lived a heart beat away from the U.S. Presidency and missed being elected to be the nation's Chief Executive by a fraction of one percent, strolls casually along New York's Fifth Ave. Immediately behind Nixon is Nick Reuwe, a member of his staff. Man at left with attache case is an unidentified staff member on the Jack Parr show on which Nixon is to appear March 8. UPI photographer Joel Schrank, who accompanied Nixon on his stroll from the University Club, where he had made a speech, to the Waldorf-Astoria, sent Nixon went almost unrecognized on the walk until he stopped to pose for pictures for Schrank in front of St. Patrick's Cathedral. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
