Ronald Mucha, a Princeton, N.J. high school student, holds one of the 100 papier-mache pumpkins which decorate Princeton University's campus today, prior to the scheduled appearance of Alger Hiss, who will speak on the meaning of Geneva. Each pumpkin is stuffed with a photograph of a typewriter entwined with microfilm, as shown. Police have asked to guard the one-time State Department official, who is making his first public speech tonight before the Whig-Cliosophic Society since his release from prison 17 months ago. Hiss was convicted of perjury on testimony of Whittaker Chambers, who produced the microfilmed documents from a hollowed-out pumpkin.
