(Original Caption). Salvador Dali shows his abstract painting (Left) which he gave to the Berkshire Hotel in return for the Bouguereau Canvas Satyr Surrounded by Nymphs (right). January 23rd. The regretful hotel management protested the trade because they thought the contract was cancelled and also because Dali said he originally wanted the painting to put it out of circulation becuse it was The worst of bad art but January 23rd said he wanted it for his private collection. A hotel spokesman said the abstract Didn't turn out to be one of Dali's beautiful paintings and they would like to return these maidens to their admirers who look upon them with the greatest lust and affection. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
