(Original Caption). Soviets and Puppets Get Cold Reception in W. Berlin. West Berlin, West Germany: Last Sunday, February 23, was the 40th anniversary of the Soviet Red Army. It was marking in Berlin by a visit of Soviet and East German Communist bigwigs to the Soviet war memorial in the British sector of West Berlin. At left above (from left). Heinrich Rau, East German deputy premier and minister of trade; Walter Ulbricht, East German Communist Party secretary; Soviet general Sacharov, commanding all Russian troops in East Germany, and Willi Stophy, Soviet zone defense minister, as they marched to the memorial in a chill wind. The photo at right shows Soviet troops going back to the Soviet zone after the ceremonies at the memorial. They ignore the ironic salute of the snowman. The tag zoll means custom. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
