Framed Print of Wax Museum Scene
(Original Caption). In this scene at the new Montmartre Wax Museum, an artist named Poulbot (left) sketches entertainer Aristide Bruand (right) while poor children of the quarter play games. Poulbot's sketches of the little waifs gave them the name of Poulbots. Montmartre, the Greenwich Village of Paris, has produced some of the world's most famed artists, musicians and writers. Such renowned persons as Toulouse-Lautrec, Franz Liszt, and George Sand were once familiar figures in the picturesque quarter atop a high hill near the center of Paris. These and other colorful figures from Montmartre's past are the subject of a new wax museum there. In a vault-like underground chamber, 14 scenes from the quarter's history have been recreated in wax with startling realism and painstaking attention to detail. Designed by Rene Trotoux, the various exhibits have a remarkable appearance. Unleash your creativity with premium art prints that turn any room into a visual masterpiece.
