(Original Caption) 11/18/1941-Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- Congress of Industrial Organizations pickets stop a bus at the Red Lion Mine of the H.C. Frick Coke Company in Fayette County. Crowding around, the pickets warn fellow miners in the bus that they can't work beccause John L. Lewis, United Mine Workers (C.I.O.). President says, No contract, no work. Of 325 on the mine's day shift, 50 went to work. After some of the miners were roughed up and theats were made to overturn cars, state motor police were rushed to the scene to quell the pickets. The strike at captive mines n the east is holding up the supply of fuel to the steel companies that own them.
