The flight of 60 metres that won Alberto Santos-Dumont (1873 - 1932), the Brazilian aviator, a prize of 3000 francs, Chateau de Bagatelle, Bois de Boulogne, Paris, France. A later flight also in his 14-bis biplane on 12 Nov 1906 of 220 metres won him the Aero Club de France prize of 1500 francs and set the first ever FAI recognised world record for distance flown.
