Penarth Pier Sunrise
A glorious morning at Penarth Pier in the Vale of Glamorgan, a fully restored Victorian pier in all its glory with the intense red sunrise glowing in the distance over the Bristol channel.
It was opened to the public in February 1895, but the formal opening ceremony did not occur untl 6th April. The original structure was of cast iron with a timber deck and acted as a promenade and landing jetty for the then lucrative steam ship trade in the Bristol Channel
