Text on this engraving, including motto, reads: 103 Blaney, Lord Blaney (Blayney) INTEGRA MENS AUGUSTISSIMA POSSESSIO (An honest mind is the most glorious possession). Edward Blayney (Blainey or Blaney) (1570-1629?) was the 1st Baron Blayney. A Welsh soldier in Ireland, he became Baron Blayney of Monaghan in the Peerage of Ireland. Monaghan is the county town of County Monaghan.
