Airship Over The Speedway
A blimp flies over Sheepshead Bay Speedway as spectators watch and talk amongst themselves, Brooklyn, New York, late 1910s. The Speedway, an auto racing venue, replaced the Sheepshead Bay Racetrack after gambling was outlawed in the city in 1910. The track was sold to a residential developer in 1919. The original horse racing track was built on the land of investor Leonard Jerome, grandfather of Winston Churchill. (Photo by Paul Thompson/FPG/Getty Images)
