Pulitzer Building
1893: New York City Hall, left, and the Pulitzer Building (or World Building) on Park Row. The Pulitzer Building, 26 storeys high topped by a neo-classical dome, was designed by architect George B. Post for the New York World newspaper. Completed in 1890, when it held title as the Worlds tallest. It was demolished in 1955 for an expanded roadway to the Brooklyn Bridge.
