The Insignia of the Knight Grand Commander of the Order of the Star of India. Not awarded since the Partition of India in 1947, The Most Exalted Order of the Star of India had three classes - Grand Knight Commander, Knight Commander and Companion. It was first awarded in 1861 by Queen Victoria to Indian Princes, British officers and administrators who served in India.
