The Messerschmitt, 262-A-1, (top photo), and the Volksjaeger or People's Fighter, (bottom photo), are the first German planes to be brought to the United States and are now being studied by engineers of the Air Technical Service Command. The Meserschmitt German jet-propelled fighter develops a level flight speed of from 515 to 530 miles an hour; carries four 30 millimeter cannon in its nose and has a 41 foot wing span and overall length of 35.5 feet. The Volksjaeger, called by Goering one of Germany's foremost secret weapon can reach 19, 700 feet in six minutes where it will cruise at 522 miles per hour. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
