(Original Caption) Little John Satter, Jr. is taking a short stroll, hand in hand with "Gismo the Peaceful Robot, " one of the exhibits at the Ford Motor Company's 9th annual Industrial Arts Awards Show at the Waldorf-Astoria. Creator of "Gismo" is operating the controls of the mechanical man, which walks, talks, and has "heart beats" of blinking lights. The inventor of the robot is Sherwood Fuehrer, of Cranston, R.I. who is 14 years old. His creation won him one of the top ingenuity prizes
