(Original Caption). Berlin, Germany: Berlin veterinary doctor Countess Maria von Maltzan, is known for her ability to raise tigers at her home. At present she acts as foster-parent for a tiger-cub belonging to a Swedish Circus who cannot use the animal while it is below a certain age. Rava, was eight weeks old when the Countess got her from the Circus. Now she is about six months and in another six months she will be given back to her Swedish owner. The tiger-cub is used to her foster mother and quite tame. She even goes with her mistress for a little walk provided the streets are not too noisy. She will also sit down for a rest on a bench with the Countess, but the two usually have the bench to themselves because not all people have as much faith in the Countess's ability to master the cub. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
