(Original Caption). A Killer is Born. New York: Dr. James A. Oliver, curator of reptiles at the Bronx Zoo, is checking the birth of a baby king cobra, which is just emerging from the egg. The egg is one of 41 laid by Queenie last April. Dr. Oliver is using a tweezers here; for the baby king cobra is born with venom and know how to use it. This is the first time that the eggs of the king cobra have been hatched in captivity. The young snakes are about 18 inches long when they emerge from the egg. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
