Silhouetted against the Manhattan background are the principal players in the drama of life and death that was played tonight 225 feet above the East River, on a cable of the Manhattan Bridge. At the right is Bernard Levenson, 30, a cab driver, who made two separate phone calls to his wife and police telling them that he intended to jump from the bridge. Closest to Levenson on the cable is Bob Wendlinger, a New York Daily Mirror photographer, who achieved nationwide fame two years ago with a dramatic photo of a man jumping to his death from a bridge, and who talked Levenson out of giving him another such picture. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm).
