(Original Caption). U.S. soldiers, turned over by the Army with a fourth GI for trial in a Japanese court, sign papers in Tokyo empowering an attorney to contest the Constitutionality of the trial by a foreign government. The four are accused of breaking property in a pinball parlor, resisting arrest and attacking and injuring at least six Japanese policemen last September 4th. The U.S. has agreements with Japan and the NATO powers allowing them to try U.S. servicemen for crimes committed off post. The GI's (left to right), PFC Kenneth Reynolds, 22, MacGee, Ark.; S3 Jesse Nordyke, 22, Minneapolis, Kans.; and Pvt. Walter R. McKenzie, 21, Detroit, are flanked here by attorneys Frank H. Scolinos (left) and Murray Spring. The fourth accused soldier, Cpl. Allen S. May of Cleveland, was not present. The Japanese court put off the trial until February 10 to allow the case to be taken. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
