King Edward I
King Edward the First of England, reigned from 1272 to 1307. One of Englands greatest kings he was also known as Edward the Lawgiver, the English Justinian and as the Hammer of the Scots. A great military leader he took part in the eighth crusade and also conquered Wales and invaded Scotland. But it was also Edward who founded the parliamentary system in England and started the move away from the feudal system.
