Skeggie a town in South-East Lincolnshire

Skegness was where the gentry from not too distant places brought their families to indulge in the fashionable practice of sea-bathing during the summer months. It was a quiet seaside town until the advent of the railway in the 1800s. When the railway reached Skegness in 1873 that visitors began arriving in large numbers. The first Butlins Holiday camp was established there in 1935.
